Research

When researching i started by looking for images and clips of crazy elderly lady's. These are the images that i found were very inspirational and share aspects that relate to my ideas and will definitely inspire my designs.

The image above shows me a very interesting aggressive pose that i would definitely like to interpret into my character.

The Image above shows an interesting facial expression and facial features that looks along the lines of what i have in mind for my character to make my character look different from the average stereotypical elderly lady.




The photo above is similar to the first image this gives me another view on the 'aggressive elderly lady'. I have the idea of my character using her accessories such as her handbag and walking stick as a weapon.

The image above gives me a clear outlook on the facial features of an elderly lady. It is a image that i can use to help me but it is also and images that i can use to remind me not to make my character look to similar, as it is a rather stereotypical image.

I then found these video clips which carry interesting characteristics which inspired me to consider adopting similar characteristics into my character as it will make my character stand out more and differ from the average stereotypical elderly lady.

I had the idea of making my character quite militant so these images will help me to adapt a militant style into my character.

The image above shows me that the military or militant people are often well kitted out.



The image above showed how camouflage plays an important role so it would be interesting to have my character in some kind of camouflage that blends into the environment that my character is in.




The image above shows me that the military take poses that offers themselves protection, something that i will definitely be interpreting into my character.

I then took into consideration the age of my character and decided that she would have been alive during the World War 2 period. Therefore i decided it would be a good idea to have her militant style from that period which shows her age. I found these images below would help inspire my designs.

The images above help me a lot because they show me exactly what the soldiers uniform in world war 2 looked like. It shows me what their helmets looked like, what sore of accessories they had with them, such as weaponry and a belt that holds ammunition and various other things. These photos also show me  the sorts of badges and design on their uniforms. This is something that is vital to my character designs because little information such as badge and icons say a lot about your character. 

My character thinks that everything smells bad which gave me the idea of having my character finding the smell so bad that its almost poisonous, and when there were poisonous situations in the army they would wear gas masks to protect themselves. So I'm considering giving my character a gas mask, the images below will help me to design a gas mask for my character. If i choose to do so that is. 

The Images above give me a good variation of gas masks from the old school gas mask to the modern day gas mask. I also found a darth vader gas mask which i thought would add an interesting touch if i were to interpret it into my character designs.
